Tewin Orchard Mammal Watching Hide

The new hide is a purpose built facility and is managed jointly with the Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust. It was opened on 7th October 2006 by Michael Clark our patron and warden of the Nature Reserve. There is every possibility that you will see badgers as the sett is just across the field in neighbouring woodland and is home to over ten badgers. You are also likely to see foxes, muntjac deer and owls, as well as a variety of wildlife in natural surroundings.
Bookings are taken on the first of the month for the following month ( for example - on April 1st bookings commence for May) via our bookings hot line. The Hide is open from April to mid-October.
